Together We Make a Difference
Event Begins In
The Pink Ribbon Tour, formally ‘Race The Rás’, is a new three day cycling sportive in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute which this year takes place 6th to 8th September 2019. This exciting sportive will definitely suit a larger number of riders. At three days in length, anyone who has ridden a decent one-day sportive will be ready for the new event. And it’s at an ideal time of year for a few days away on the bike. This would be a great event for a group getaway with your cycling buddies. It’s the brain child of a group of sports enthusiasts including some well-known former stars.
Paul Earley, Roscommon GAA All Star and International Rules team manager 2013/14, Philip Cassidy two time winner of the Rás and physiotherapist Eamonn O’Muircheartaigh are some of the driving forces behind this exciting new event on the cycle touring calendar.
For the past eight years many of the organisers were involved in the charity cycle ‘Race The Rás’ but have switched to a less competitive formula with an end of season date and changing from an eight day to a three day event will leave it more accessible for a greater number of riders to take on a good end of summer challenge.
